Last updated: 5 March 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the provision of glazing services by Sydney Glass Installations ("we", "us", "our") to you ("you", "the customer"). By requesting a quote, accepting an estimate, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before engaging our services. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with your booking.

2. Quotes and Estimates

  • All quotes are provided free of charge and without obligation.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • All prices include GST unless otherwise specified.
  • Quotes are based on information provided and site conditions at the time of assessment. If actual conditions differ from what was described or observed, we reserve the right to revise the quote accordingly.
  • Additional work requested beyond the original scope will be quoted separately.

3. Acceptance and Scheduling

Acceptance of a quote may be given verbally or in writing. Once accepted, we will schedule the work at a mutually agreed time. We make every effort to meet scheduled times but may occasionally need to adjust due to unforeseen circumstances.

For emergency glass repairs, we offer 24/7 availability with a 1-hour response time across the Sydney metropolitan area, subject to demand and location.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • For larger projects, a deposit of up to 50% may be required prior to commencement.
  • We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card and cash.
  • Overdue invoices may incur interest at a rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

5. Warranties

We stand behind our work with the following warranties:

  • Workmanship warranty: We provide a lifetime warranty on our installation workmanship. If any defect arises from our installation, we will rectify it at no cost to you.
  • Product warranties: Glass products carry manufacturer warranties as specified at the time of purchase. We will assist you with any manufacturer warranty claims.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental impact, natural disasters, structural movement or alterations made by third parties. All glass installations comply with Australian Standards AS 1288 (Glass in Buildings) and AS 2208 (Safety Glazing Materials).

6. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, including your rights to a remedy for services that are not provided with due care and skill.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to, at our discretion, re-performing the service or providing a refund for the service in question.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption or property damage not directly caused by our work. We carry comprehensive public liability and workers' compensation insurance.

8. Property Access and Preparation

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area. This includes clearing furniture, valuables or obstructions from the immediate work zone prior to our arrival.

Any existing damage to the property or surrounding areas will be noted before work commences. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or damage that is not caused by our work.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Custom-cut or specially ordered glass is non-refundable once the order has been placed with our supplier.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule work due to adverse weather, safety concerns or other events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
